LOVE THY NEIGHBOUR CAMPAIGN
Love Thy Neighbour seeks to help restore dignity and hope to the hurting and vulnerable in our communities. As part of our church’s commitment to fostering lasting social impact, this Easter campaign provides tangible ways for us to support our community during this significant time of the year. In response to the current challenges posed by the ongoing homelessness and cost-of-living crises, the campaign is strategically designed to offer practical assistance to those most affected.
This year, Love Thy Neighbour is focusing on providing practical ways that we as a church can support our community in the areas of homelessness and food insecurity by providing packs of essential items filled with warm clothing, hygiene products and food items, to those who need them most.
GET INVOLVED
In Australia, homelessness and food insecurity are significant concerns. Every night, more than 116,000 Australians lack stable housing, with youth homelessness sharply increasing since the pandemic began. Additionally, last year saw 3.7 million Australians struggling to afford basic necessities, leading to a troubling rise in food insecurity among families and individuals who had previously not experienced such challenges.
There are 3 ways you can take part: GIVE, VOLUNTEER & PRAY.
All giving to Love Thy Neighbour goes toward providing essentials packs with warm clothing, hygiene products, household and essential food items to those affected.
Pray for those experiencing homelessness and or food insecurities. Pray for those on the ground supporting homelessness and providing food relief.
At a Wrap & Pack, which will be hosted at various local campuses after Easter. More information to come!
